Moise:
Indian stocks are the most expensive from BRIC countries. They trade at 22PE whereas rest are between 12-16PE. Foriegn Insitutional Investors have been net sellers in Jan 2011. Primary concern is inflation with the central bank (RBI) increasing ReserveRates for the 7th time in 6 months.
The silver lining is that the Indian fiscal year ends on March 31st and the govt budget comes out in the first fortnight of March--which traditionally have been triggers for a rally leading into April results. HDB and IBN are banking stocks which should reap the benefit of increased rates.
