iPath SP 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX) chart analysis ;
1) Notice that the volume did rise !
2) Another fake move ? (see previous failed entries above the 50 days exp MA).
3) Focus on those entry triggers ?
Gut feeling ; I don't smell a crash coming, just another channel pattern until probably Oct.
The Fed will probably be allowed to print, print , print ......
Allowed to create hyperinflation (might as well copy Brazil who did it, and wiped out their debt).
They'll tell you ; The Dollar is your problem, not ours :)
Currency war is coming
Then no one will buy US debt, right ??? No way, markets forget and forgive defaults as usual, just look at Brazil, Argentina, Russia, etc ......
Winners ? Gold, Silver, farm lands, (don't forget the cows), old stamps, art, etc ......

way too premature calling the death knell on U.S. debt. Bond yields are still in a secular downtrend as they have been for decades, Asia is still a NET buyer, and until PRICE says otherwise, I'd fade that kind of emotional overreaction.
True, price does matter but the point of what is happening with the VXX today is no one is worried about a default. Both the bond and stock markets are saying the same thing. Volatility will matter and show up when we, U.S.A., lose our World Reserve Currency status and can't keep printing dollars too bail ourselves out. The true beginning as Moise is stating is a currency war and some say it has started already but again neither market has stated it has yet. We can print, Europe can't so default in Europe will happen first. The U.S. dollar will lose reserve currency status and be thrown in a basket of currencies ( Brenton Woods ) the Chinese yuan will join and off we go. The politics and BS that goes along with all of this is just noise just like Moise is suggesting. I am betting the dollar rallies with a Greece,Italy,Spain, etc default but just for a short time. I agree that Real Assets will hold value better than anything. Just my 2 cents.
Moise, just curious question...I understood you are breakout trader.
Just curious do you like to trade day trading? during the market hours. What was your experience? I feel its very hard working doing live trading.
Please share good / bad about day trading in brief....
First off, cudos to your great blog Moise! Keep up the great work.
Second, on a similar note I found this article about the Aluminum price rising, and it seems like more great opportunities for Alcoa. I'm considering buying more.
Thanks :)
Break out trading is probably the hardest thing to do since you are testing your patience all the time.
Its easy to say, "I will enter here", its very hard to "wait for it".
Like respecting a stop loss ..... easy to say, hard to respect.
If trading was easy, we would all have an entry and clear exit point ...... but our minds play games with us :)
@Nik ; Buying Alcoa on an extreme oversold is what I have in mind :)
